It has been a very busy few days, and Heather and Jennifer have worked some long days! So if any one knows any one who wants a job let me know!
Today was the East Midlands Dressage Group One Day Event held at Osberton Park. It is about the 3rd year i have been there now, and it is an excellent way to start the year. The ground was perfect, and the event is always so well organised it is a pleasure to attend.
I took Desi, Milly and Nenagh. Desi won! He felt great, i was thrilled with him in all three phases, as that was his first one day event, so a good way to start! He scored 23.5 and double clear.(So any one interested in owning an event horse get in touch with me, he is a star in the making!) Milly was also a star, she would have won but the last show jump down dropped us to 3rd. She scored 29.5, jumped a good round in the showjumping, and really enjoyed being back going XC again. Poor Nenagh slipped awkwardly on the lunge and looked slightly short behind so i withdrew her. I know her well, and she is so sound and tough, i knew she wasn't right. I will get the physio to check her before risking more damage. So i was disappointed not to have ran her, but there will be many more chances.
So in all a good start to the season, and an enjoyable day. It was a great feeling to be cantering out that start box again!!!!
