More rain, more wind, more cold.....Burnham Market at its best!! I managed to slip Bee in to a withdrawn slot when I arrived today, so she got her first PN run along with Nenagh and Lexi. The dressage field was on top of an open hill, it was blowing freezing rain. Thankfully all were well behaved and very tolerant in such conditions. The showjumping and XC collecting rings reverted to warm up and number down on the board, so I did all 3 dressage tests, followed by all 3 SJ rounds, and 3XC rounds. It worked perfectly.
Bee excelled herself and did a 33 dressage and a double clear in very muddy conditions. Nenagh did a lovely test but the judge thought otherwise scoring 38. She rolled a pole showjumping, and jumped a great, steady clear XC. Lexi did a 36 dressage, and was impeccable in her SJ and XC. She felt the established and experienced one, and gave me a great ride. We made our way home soon after so I dont know my exact scores, or if any rossetes were won, but I was very chuff with how they all coped in the extreme conditions. Hope Fitz doesnt get cancelled again, will have to wait and see.
